Executive Chairman

Mark Morabito is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with a track record of building and financing resource and financial services companies. In addition to his role as Executive Chairman of Excalibur Metals Corp., Mr. Morabito also serves as the Chairman and CEO of Intrepid Metals Corp., where he is leading exploration activities in Arizona’s historically productive Tombstone mining district and has recently signed Teck Resources Limited as a strategic partner.

Mr. Morabito has founded and led multiple mining companies from inception on the TSX Venture Exchange through to NYSE listings. As founder of Alderon Iron Ore, he negotiated a landmark US$400 million strategic investment with HBIS Group, marking the Chinese steelmaker’s first investment outside China. He is also CEO of King & Bay West, a merchant bank and public company services firm, and has raised over $1 billion in capital throughout his career. Mr. Morabito holds a B.A. from Simon Fraser University and a J.D. from Western University.
